PRACTICE THIS WEEK

 

Despite the school closing tomorrow/Wednesday August 31^st, we will have water polo practice from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the pool.

Thursday, September 1^st  will include dry land and run from 5 to 7:00 pm, like today.   Please bring gym shoes and water.

Friday, September 2 is 5:30 to 7 pm at the pool.

We will hold practice Saturday, September 3^rd.  Coaches will divide up the team to attend either the 7 to 8:30 am practice or 4 to 6 pm practice.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY FOR SUIT AND APPAREL FORMS.  We will be at practice again, at the beginning and end, with sample sizes for the suits and apparel.  Coach Theo discussed numbers today and will go over that again at tomorrow’s at practice.

First Practice is Now Wednesday, August 31st. All Apparel and Suit Orders Due Please.

In the wake of Irene, Westport schools will we closed on Tuesday, August 30th and reopen for the first day on Wednesday , August 31st.  As a result, our first day of practice is now Wednesday, August 31st at 5:30 to 7 pm.

Please bring any and all forms for:

* apparel

* suit orders

* Code of Conduct

to practice on Wednesday.

If you are unsure of your size, we will have the apparel and suit samples at Wednesday’s practice.

Orders for both will go in on Thursday, September 1st.

Reminder: Team Meeting and Try Outs/First Practice, Saturday, August 27

The Boys Water Polo team meeting is in the Staples cafeteria tomorrow, Saturday, August 27 at 11:30 am.  It is for players and parents. Please bring your check book for apparel and suit orders. Click to download the form.

 

The try outs/first practice will follow from 12:30 to 2:30.

 

All athletic forms are now due.  If you have not handed in these forms (there are 3 including the Code of Conduct and they can be found on the Staples website) please bring them to the Coach tomorrow.  Players will not be able to participate in the tryouts with out them.

Team Meeting

The team meeting will take place on Saturday, August 27 at 11:30 to 12:30 in the Staples cafeteria.  It is for parents and players alike.  Coach Theo will discuss the season.  We will hand out a game schedule and there will be sign up sheets for pasta dinners and bake sale fundraisers.

Apparel

Also, very important, we plan to have order forms for apparel and team suits.  We would like to get these returned at the meeting if at all possible in order to get the suits for our first game on September 16th.  Please come prepared to order whatever is of interest to you. The forms can take a credit card or check.  If the order forms are ready before the team meeting, we hope to email them out in advance. This is a very short season so getting suits and apparel is always a rush.  If we can get order forms in with sizes by the end of the meeting we will be in good shape.  Thanks for your help!

Try out/First Practice

The try out/first practice will take place immediately following the meeting, from 12:30 to 2:30 at the Staples pool.  Please come read to swim and play!
